Visit D Day Museum, Portsmouth
The D-Day Story in Portsmouth, the United Kingdom’s only museum dedicated to the Allied invasion of Normandy in June 1944. Through immersive exhibits, personal accounts, and the opportunity to explore the restored Landing Craft Tank (LCT) 7074, which participated in operations shortly after D-Day, members gained a deeper appreciation of the sacrifices and achievements of those who served before us.
Afternoon Tea, Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth
Our day ended at Portsmouth’s iconic Spinnaker Tower for Afternoon Tea. Standing 170 metres above Portsmouth Harbour, the tower offers spectacular panoramic views stretching up to 23 miles across the south coast and surrounding countryside. The combination of excellent refreshments, outstanding views, and good company provided a fitting conclusion to the weekend’s activities.
